The House of Worship, gardens and Visitors Center are handicap accessible

Baha'i Temple Home Page

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to construction and restoration, the main Baha’i House of Worship Visitors Parking Lot will be closed until further notice.

Everyone, including those guests who have difficulty with stairs, will need to park either on the street on Linden Avenue or in the Lakeside Parking Lot (on the east side of Sheridan Road.)

Also, we regret that due to safety concerns related to construction there is currently  no wheelchair access to the House of Worship or the Visitor Center. We expect this to remain in effect through October 2011.

Those who can walk down 16 steps to the Visitor Center, can access the elevator up to the Temple auditorium. To avoid the steps at the Linden Ave. entrance, visitors can enter the gardens at the corner of Sheridan Rd. and Linden Ave. Handicap access to the GARDENS is available at that corner. Then follow the sidewalk to the "Linden Entry."

You may wish to call ahead for more information. Call the Visitors Center at: 847-853-2300 or the Public Safety Office at: 847-853-2312.
