International Criminal Court

The National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States, the religious community’s national governing council, is a founding member of the Washington Working Group for the International Criminal Court (WICC) and the American Coalition for the International Criminal Court (AMICC).

Both groups are committed to achieving full U.S. support for the International Criminal Court (ICC)--the world's first permanent court, established in 2002 in The Hague, Netherlands, to try individuals accused of committing genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

The office of the U.S. Baha'i Representative to the United Nations is a member of the Faith & Ethics Network for the ICC. The Network is an international interfaith coalition created to promote awareness of the Court, and to support justice and reconciliation efforts in countries where the ICC is prosecuting and conducting investigations.
