Baha'is celebrate the festival of Ayyam-i-Ha each year from sunset on Feb. 25 to sunset of March 1 as a preparation for the Fast, which begins March 2 and ends March 20. During Ayyam-i-Ha, members of the Faith perform acts of charity, give gifts to friends and family, and attend social gatherings.
Baha'u'llah has said of Ayyam-i-Ha: "It behoveth the people of Baha, throughout these days, to provide good cheer for themselves, their kindred and, beyond them, the poor and needy, and with joy and exultation to hail and glorify their Lord, to sing His praise and magnify His Name."

Re: I'm not familiar with the
The center of Baha’i teachings is the principle of the unity of religion, including Judaism. Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, taught that God, the Creator, has intervened and will continue to intervene in human history by means of chosen Messengers. These Messengers, Whom Baha’u’llah called "Manifestations of God," are principally the Founders of the major world religions, such as Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Jesus and Muhammad and, in this time, Baha’u’llah. It is the spirit released by the coming of these Manifestations, together with the influence of Their teachings and the social systems established by Their laws and precepts, that enable humankind to progress in its collective evolution.
Baha’is recognize that the Manifestations of God-have all come from the one, same God, and that all of the religious systems established by Them, such as Judaism, through the Teachings of Abraham and Moses, are part of a single divine plan directed by God. In reality, there is only one religion, the religion of God. This one religion is continually evolving, and each particular religious system represents a stage in the evolution of the whole. The Baha’i Faith, through the Teachings of Baha’u’llah, represents the current stage in the evolution of religion.
