Every year we're asked, "How do Baha'is handle the winter holidays?" "When is the Baha'i gift-giving season?" "How do Baha'is view Christ?"

This year we spoke with Veda Mosavi, a Baha'i from Calif. who was raised by a Persian Baha'i father and a mother from a Baptist background, who became a Baha'i when Veda was young.

Baha'is from five continents, including two from the United States, are making presentations at the Parliament of the World's Religions – an event now held every five years in the modern continuation of an initiative begun more than a century ago.

Kevin Locke, world-renowned Native American performer and educator, and member of the Baha'i community, has won a Native American Music Award (Nammy) in the Record of the Year category for his latest recording, Earth Gift.

Gwen Clayborne, a Baha'i from Glencoe, Ill., was featured recently on the Chicago-based public television program, "30 Good Minutes."

Throughout the United States Baha’is are inviting spiritual seekers to enrich their spiritual and community life through such activities as prayer gatherings, weekly study of the Baha'i scriptures and classes for the spiritual education and training of children.

Baha'is view racism as America's most vital and challenging issue. Baha'u'llah, the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith, taught that the world's peace, prosperity and well being ultimately depend on the recognition of the oneness of humanity.
